Photographers; Are You Struggling to Find New Clients?

What if I shared with you how you can keep working with your old clients and turn them into long-term relationships? Here you go!

Finding new clients can be a hassle. You can find a solution to this by retaining your old clients who are worth your time and value. Note this: this is not to say you neglect finding new clients. If you do, you’re going to get stuck at some point. I hope this article brings you much value.

Reach out after delivering quality.

Client lifetime value increases 82.5% with personal touch during onboarding. Send a video message, call, send a gift. You want to keep them happy. You want to be present and make yourself available and real. Most photographer neglect this simple thing. The SIM card companies never get tired of showing us their offer or saying “thank you” for choosing their network. What matters to them is they’re broadcasting a message. Be sure to send a message when you are done delivering quality.

Build trust through consistency.

Deliver on your promise, always!!! Your clients have a lot on their plate. Put yourself in their shoes. They should never worry about your services or you. Keep them less anxious. Consistency is not only about how many times you do a thing, but mainly about repeating your success many times. promise quality, deliver quality.

Tell them about your process.

Do this with clarity and certainty. Your clients should know how you plan to bring them results. This builds trust before the photo session. This way, they know what to expect and what to do. People do not like to walk in uncertainties. We want to get all our facts right before we venture anything. Not all of us were born risk takers.

Communicate your business value.

This is important. Maybe the most important on the list. If your photo session makes them money, it’s your duty, remind them. Otherwise, they think they did it themselves and don’t need your services. (another article on this later).

Make yourself hard to replace.

Play the long game. Know them deeply and what they really need from a photographer and keep delivering that alone. Quality is not only to be found in the results, but the process as well.

Make them love you.

This doesn’t mean stooping so low that you become a maid. Far from it! Make them excited to talk to you, not use you and dump you.

Help them to hire you again.

Did you do a great job? Is the client happy? Don’t wait for them to call you, but call them. Check point #1. Give them a plan to continue working with you again.
