Content creation is making entertaining and or educational resources on suitable platforms hoping to exchange value for money.

Content creation can be done in either written form, audio and or video.

Why Do People Make Content?

  1. Customers trust you more: When you create content on a topic you specialize in, you project yourself as an expert in the field, especially if the content brings value to whoever is reading, listening or watching.

2. They want to be experts: People create contents because they want to be seen as experts in a particular topic. It’s not just some title. If you want people to see you as an expert, you need to show up every day and earn it.

3. To establish their brand: People who are into content creation create because they wish to be established as a brand, as authorities in a particular field.

So, if you are looking forward to becoming a content creator, here are 3 rules you should follow if you are just starting out.

1. Create content every day! You want to show up every day. By this I mean you want to do consistent work. This is the only way people can believe you have something to offer them. And the internet rewards consistency.

2. Hit Publish. Don’t overthink it. It is better to share one video on the internet. Sharing one article on Medium is better than zero. Sharing one audio on Google podcast is better than zero. Share your work.

3. Don’t over plan. Plan and get the work done. Don’t allow planning to become a resistance in your life. The more you plan, the less you get work done. I’m not saying you should not plan, I’m saying produce more than you plan. Planning does not get the work done. Doing the work gets the work done.

I hope this article brought you value. If it did, share this with another wanna-be content creator so they create as soon as possible.

Peace.
